Rant about a new show.

If you haven't seen the new show "30 Days" by Morgan Spurlock (the maker of "Supersize Me"), you should definitely catch it on FX. I have it recorded on my PVR, and just saw the first episode, where Spurlock and his fiance attempt to live off minimum wage for 30 days. In case you haven't guessed it, the premise of the show is basically Morgan (or someone else) attempting "something" for 30 days, ranging from becoming a muslim, to living as a gay/bi. This is what reality TV should have been.

Oh yeah. I remember when I first saw a commercial for this show. I thought, "Hey, now that's a decent idea for reality TV." I watched it and you know what? It really is.

I like Morgan Spurlock, he's thoughtful and funny and fun as hell to watch. And that minimum wage episode was brilliant (although I can't say it was instructive to me as I already knew you can't really make it on minimum wage in this society).

Just saw another one tonight, about anti-aging drugs. Not quite as socially idiomatic as the premiere, but still quite an interesting POV. Spurlock rules!
